Cardinals Fans React to New Budda Baker Contract

The Arizona Cardinals have tossed Baker some more money to keep him around, and bird gang is quite pleased.

After a long offseason of debate, speculation and rumors surrounding the contract status of Budda Baker, the Arizona Cardinals finally put a stop to it all.

NFL Media's Ian Rapoport reported the Cardinals gave Baker a raise of $2.4M in bonuses and, "incentives this year including a $300K signing bonus" which included a raise for next season.

Baker - sitting at 27-years-old - was looking for more cash with no guaranteed money left on the remainder of his two-year deal.

Now, he's got it, and Cardinals fans were plenty happy.

It's great to see such a revered player for the franchise remain with the team. The Cardinals were able to find a middle ground with Baker and his camp to ensure the All-Pro safety hung around during a crucial part of the rebuild.

New Cardinals GM Monti Ossenfort has received quite the praise for his tremendous offseason thus far:

Though not everybody believes Ossenfort "won the standoff" between the two sides:

The exact financials and what those incentives for Baker are haven't been released just yet, though we should find out soon.
